TAX COLLECTION BOND ORDINANCE 21.01
TOWN OF CLOVERLAND
The Town Board of Cloverland, Vilas County,
Wisconsin, does ordain as follows:
WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statute 70.67 requires bonding
for the town treasurer for the benefit of the county treasurer on taxes to be
paid, and;
WHEREAS,
this board has determined that the cost of such commercial bonding is
exorbitant in relation to the risk involved;
THEREFORE,
pursuant to authorization under present statue 70.67(2), in case the town
treasurer fails to pay all taxes of any kind required by law to be paid by said
treasurer to the county treasurer, the Town of Cloverland hereby obligates
itself to pay such taxes.
BE
IT THERER ORDAINED, that within one week of passage of this ordinance, the town
clerk shall mail or deliver a certified copy of this ordinance to the county
treasurer’s office.
